I purchased my Rockwell VersaCut RK3440K at a local "brick and mortar store" exactly one week before it was in stock here at Amazon. I could have pre-ordered it at Amazon and waited, but I needed it for several long and tall furniture grade cabinets I was building for the walls of my utility room and garage.

I had been wanting a small light corded saw of this size ever since watching a carpenter use a small battery powered one as he replaced trim on my home some years back. I knew a battery model would not be economical in my limited and sporadic use as a homeowner - due to replacing batteries after long periods of disuse. The one the carpenter had was nice, but not as nice as my new VersaCut - and I'm sure he paid much more for his. The VersaCut is also much more powerful than the one the carpenter had, and its ten foot cord also gives good ease of reach and movement.

I bought this hoping it would be a nice alternative to my cicular saw when cutting things 1-inch thick and less. Just used it for the first time on some 3/4" plywood and it did just what I had hoped. I have a few Rockwell tools (JawHorse and Sonicrafter) and all are solid quality tools. This is no exception. You can't cut 2x4s with it, but as long as you realize its limits (designed in), its a great addition to a workshop.

I wish that the ratings would allow me to give this a 4 7/8 star rating because I have 2 comments...

1. I had to put a little bit of duct tape around the vacuum attachment because my vacuum's end was a bit bigger (1/16") than the attachment's outer diameter. To be fair to Rockwell, I don't know if this is the fault of my vacuum or the Versacut.

2. As much as I like the "plunge" design, it would be nice if this had a convenient means of locking down the blade to not require the "plunge".

I have (had) the Craftsman's version of the Mini-Saw and I did like it... It was very compact, enough power, and was really good for small intricate cuts... But one major flaw that I could no longer look past and that was the fact that you can't see the blade...Not a problem on rip cuts, but made it really dificult when you needed your cut to stop at a particular point. As a result I had to find a replacement... I stumbled across the Rockwell, which was the only one I could find in this class of saw that has an opening to see the blade... I've used it a few times so far and it works quite well... It's got a great laser, long cord, easy to use with one hand, and plenty of power... For my purposes, I would have liked it 100% if it had a little smaller of a foot print (like the Craftsman)...And like the other reviewer, I also agree that the springs on the shoe are a little too strong.. I don't know if it will loosen up a bit over time, but both these complaints are very minor and... Read more

You have purchase this flashlight; this light is simply amazing. I am so impressed by the brilliance of the light!!!!

I have several flashlights (10+) ranging from 25-85 lumens. This little flashlight outshines them all by a very significant margin.

I recommend this product for home and recreational use. The housing is constructed of thin lightweight aluminum. I don't think it would hold up to the rigors of heavy duty usage or abusive environments.

Great bang for the buck. Another website sells an earlier version of this 130 lumen flashlight for less.

I have purchased at least 4 hoses over the past 5 years, primarily at Walmart and Home Depot. I need at least 50 ft. of hose for my gardens and yard. All have been so heavy, that it is a real chore to drag it around the yard. In addition, pulling it back to a hose reel was truly laborious. This hose it fantastic. It doesn't seriously kink (it pops right back if it happens), it has quality attachments at both ends of the hose, it has more than enough strength to withstand our city water pressure (very high) and best of all, I can pick up the entire hose with one hand and walk all over the yard without feeling as if I am pulling a box of bricks. Sometimes, you get what you pay for. This hose is worth every penny.
